It was with great sadness
that
our board accepted the resignation of
our Hope for Children Center treasurer,
Sally Specht, due to pressing family mat-
ters. Sally has been a tremendous asset
to this ministry and will be dearly missed.
She has graciously agreed to process
the donations in the interim, until we can
get a new treasurer up and running.
Please continue to send her your HFCC
donations until instructed otherwise. You
will be happy to know that Sally will con-
tinue to be involved with the ministry in
other, less demanding capacities.

“Profiles of Progress”
is a fea-
ture designed to share what our readers
are doing to speed the progress of our
goals for African orphans. If you know of
an individual or group who should be
featured, please contact Vicki or Esther.
FROM OUR MAILBAG:
Dear Mum and Dad, I salute you in
the name of Jesus Christ, are you okay?
I do not hope for bad but for good. I hope
that you are well protected from the dan-
gerous storms here on earth with the
tender arms of Jesus Christ.
We all appreciate God for the things
he has seen us through. Since this min-
istry of Glory started to germinate like a
seed, people used to mutter to them-
selves that it would not continue. They
used to backbite the officials in this min-
istry. But because God is graceful and
what He has planned nobody can spoil,
God has been with us through all the
long journey concerning life skills.
This has led to many improvements
among the community and us. God sent
Sister Esther to Africa and because she
was so much touched in her heart to the
rate of Africa growth, she decided to
help. And this means she had an open
heart and hands. We were just but only
nine children when the ministry began
but to my utter surprise and disbelief we
are now over sixty children in this home
[including staff children]…
All this has happened through you
and Pastor Moses Nyamora with his
wife, Priscah Moses. May God open
the showers of blessings from heaven
and may they pour down to you.
(James 1:25-27; 2:17)
This is all I had and may God be
with you till we meet at Jesus’ feet.
Jane Ferah Oigara (10), Glory Center
We were reading about the situa-
tion (starvation problem) in Kenya with
those precious little children. We would
like to help out… We pray for Yahweh’s
judgment to come soon so these little
children won’t suffer anymore. What a
sad tragedy because of the greed of
political leaders. We pray this money
will be used to go a long way in feeding
these children.

I am so sorry to hear about what is
happening in Kenya. I want to be of
some help for Pastor Maurice. The
money is from our Lord.
Texas
Reading the heartbreaking stories
in your newsletter is sad but the minis-
try and your volunteers are the sun-
shine in the wasteland. I thank the Lord
for all of you.

Please use this [donation] for the
famine relief in Uganda, to help feed
the widows and orphans.
Minnesota
After reading Spotlight on Or-
phans, I want to send [a donation] for
Pastor Mukhooli and the Uganda pro-
jects. Anything that will help with
Uganda. The Lord is so good to give
me this money to share.
West Virginia
We received our packet… The in-
formation you sent is so interesting and
so moving. I am embarrassed to say
that I really had no idea about the mag-
nitude of the HIV/AIDS and starvation
that they are experiencing. My sister
works with HIV/AIDS projects overseas
including Kenya, but I just never really
understood how that impacts the peo-
ple, their culture, the politics, every-
thing!! Your newsletter is excellent and
gives us a clear picture of need… I just
pray my measly little $30 a month can
really help bring some joy, nourishment
and stability to Hosea’s life.

I read the Feb. 2006 issue of Spot-
light on Orphans. Actually, a friend has
been sharing the newsletters with me
for several months. Please use these
funds wherever needed. God bless you
for your work in behalf of the orphans.

Here is my phone number I will be
leaving today and won't be back until
the 22nd of Feb. I am taking my mother
to see my sister out west as she is very
ill with a very bad heart and we just lost
my brother in October with a massive
heart attack and he was only 55 and my
sister is only 57. But I can't wait to
sponsor a child. We have adopted 13
children with special needs which 11
are still alive and at home with me and
my husband. Our children range in
ages 17 down to 2 years old. But they
bring us so much joy.

It’s always great to get an update
from Kenya. The newsletters are also
really good. Someone always brings
them up at our Sabbath School class
especially the week after they come in
the mail. The stories there have been
moving people to action. Keep up the
good work.

I have mixed feelings as I read
about the orphans. My heart hurts to
think any child goes to bed hungry!
How sad that these little ones have to
suffer because of sin in this old world.
I’m torn between all the calls we re-
ceive from different charities here at
home. I often feel that some of them
take a good portion of the money they
receive for their very plush salaries.
The Red Cross has been connected
with scandal more than once and when
you hear what those in high [offices] re-
ceive it hardens my heart toward them.
Those of you who volunteer your
time and energy are to be commended
for your efforts. I wish I felt I could send
more but please use it where most
needed. May the Lord bless all who
help!!

For the starving or for water tank at
Glory Center. I’d like to see them get a
well. Guess they must have their own
place first.

At the reading of our recent issue of
Spotlight on Orphans my heart was so
grieved by the deaths of so many of our
waiting children. It is my prayer that this
will stop. We are sending __ in order to
feed those that come to your doors and
maybe drill a couple more wells for the
surrounding villages… May the Most
High Father continue to bless you and
your ministry.

I don’t see how Pastor Maurice
keeps up trying to feed so many outside
the orphanage. That was really some-
thing that the orphans at HFCC gave up
a meal so the starving children could
have something to eat. I pray for these
dear children and Pastor Maurice every
day. We will keep praying that the
drought will end very soon. I really do
enjoy reading Spotlight on Orphans and
how the Lord has really blessed all the
new projects.
