Kenyan and Ugandan Orphans back in School
I am so excited over some of the latest developments in our projects that
I simply must share them with you. It seems like we have finally emerged
from a long winter into a glorious spring! Some of these items may be
mentioned in the other articles you read this month, but they are so
important that they deserve special notice.
First of all, I am sure you are all celebrating with us the fact that all of
the high school students in Kenya and Uganda have had their school fees
paid! This blessing is so huge that we can hardly grasp it. The situation
with the famines and so many
extra children depleted any extra “undesignated” funds we had set aside, so
returning the children to complete the year seemed out of the question. Our
God is greater than we can imagine and, once again, he touched hearts and
made what
seemed impossible a reality. As we have so often shared, these children
desire an education above all else, as they know it is the only way out of a
life of destitution.
