FROM OUR MAILBAG:
Just received Molly’s letters, photo
and the choir tape and they sounded so
beautiful. I had tears in my eyes listen-
ing to what God had done for them, to
be able to use their voices to praise
Him. God bless you and thank you for
your work.

We so
enjoyed meeting you [Sally]
and Pastor Maurice. I hope the rest of his
trip is going well. I did receive the casette
of the children singing. We leave for a
family vacation tomorrow and look for-
ward to playing it. Since school is under-
way, I would like to do another project for
the orphanage. Let me know if you have
an idea!

Please use this to help feed the or-
phans and widows in Uganda.

After reading in Spotlight on Or-
phans of the terrible things going on in
northern Uganda by Joseph Kony, I
saw on the news a documentary of the
plight of children that Kony is waging on
them—stealing children to go to war
and kill their own relatives or they
themselves would be killed. It made my
heart sick! How can we be so blessed
in this country in relatively peaceful
conditions and these dreadful things be
going on elsewhere in the world. Surely
our God must be sick at heart too and
can only be longing to come to put an
end to all this carnage and take those
who are watching and waiting for Him
to our heavenly home…
The Lord has given you [Esther] a
special talent in writing and expressing
your thoughts on spiritual matters so
well. I’ve appreciated your thoughts in
“The Last Word” as well as all your arti-
cles in both Hearth to Hearth and Spot-
light on Orphans.

August 28
th
we will be meeting
Pastor Maurice, Esther, and many
other sponsors in Lake Ann, Michigan.
My friend Edna, Vicki’s mom, is so ex-
cited it’s contagious for our growth
group and UMW and many more in our
church. I just received my August Spot-
light on Orphans. As usual, I cried
when I read it. I’m writing my child,
Mary, a second letter today. It’s hard to
imagine the conditions in Nairobi,
Kenya, and all of Africa.

I want so much to help these dear
children and my heart aches because of
their loses, family and homes. I wish I
could help each of them but as I only get
$__ a month Social Security, I will send
as I can… Here is money from sale of
cans and what I’ve saved for children.
Please use it to help Jackline Adoyo
and her two brothers. I wish I could be
their sponsor but at times there is no
way. I hope this small gift will bring some
joy into their lives.

Enclosed is my first check to begin
sponsorship of Brenda Atieno. I am
very excited to be able to help this
young lady out with her daily living ex-
penses. It sounds like these young
people really have a hard life and I
would like to be able to help out. I have
also sent Brenda an introduction letter
and a small package. I look forward to
hearing from her. May God bless her
and all of the other young people that
are in her situation.

This is for the new school building.
Sure wish I could give more but I’m
sure every little bit helps!
Colorado
Well, God has surely been blessing
this work. It is what He has told us to do.
I feel good about it. Feel like I am doing
what He commissioned me to do. I want
to help everyone I can.

We have just found out about
Brother Maurice and his ministry to or-
phans and widows. Please use these
funds where most needed and send us
info on sponsoring an orphan (and the
other projects)
.

It has been some time since I had
sent any funds for the orphans there in
Africa, but I haven’t forgotten the great
need there. I have them in prayer each
morning. Just finished reading the
latest
Hearth to Hearth paper
and the things
I read really touched my heart. I’m
sending this money to you and you put it
to whatever the greatest need is at this
time… May our heavenly Father richly
bless this ministry.

Our Method:
Spotlight on Orphans is published monthly
and sent free upon request. Interested persons
outside USA are encouraged to subscribe via
email if possible. Voluntary donations are appre-
ciated.
Our Mission:
In acknowledgement of the bountiful bless-
ings that God has poured out on us, our mission
is to share those blessings, both material and
spiritual, with the orphaned children and widows
of this world. It is our purpose to take those
whom Satan would claim as his and rescue them
for the kingdom of God.
Though we are small in numbers, we serve a
big God, who has already worked miracles
through our efforts. This voluntary labor of love
has begun in east Africa. With God’s continuing
leadership, approval and blessings, it is our aim
for the work to spread to many other areas of Af-
rica and to other parts of the world.
