FROM OUR MAILBAG:
I am so anxious to hear from Es-
ther about our children at the orphan-
age. Surely hope she had a good trip…
I pray for all of you and the orphanage
every day.

The article about the Post Sisters
[see Nov./Dec. issue of Hearth to
Hearth] was absolutely astounding!
What special people they are.

I am anxious to see the pictures
and read the reports from Esther this
month. I don’t have a TV to see the
movies but if one is sent out, I will try to
find a place where I can view it with
some neighbor.

Enclosed is a check to be used for
an unsponsored child.

My husband has given me this
money to send for the needs at the
Hope for Children Center. I am really
anxious to hear about the trip of those
who visited Kenya—and the progress
made. I hope Esther will make copies
of the video available for us to get to
show others of the work being done.

[There will be a video made up, but
it will take some time. We will let you
know when it is available.

I am excited to hear of the mission
trip and all the new things happening
over there. My mom was excited to tell
me that our cousin is sponsoring five
children!! Wow! It is neat to see how the
Lord works.

It will make our Christmas if we get
a letter from our orphan kids. We really
look forward to that. I am anxious to
hear about the move and if Grace likes
her new name. Hope they like the gifts
we have sent. Thank you for emailing
me and keeping me up on the news. I’m
still so full of questions!

I have some wonderful news. My
parents have also decided they want to
start sponsoring an orphan! They have
been supporting the orphanage since I
started sponsoring Molly, now they
want their own child! I know they have
said they don’t mind if it is an older
child, just whoever you think is in the
most need. I thought I would share this
good news with you.

I really enjoyed reading about the
construction and other projects at the
Hope Center [in the Nov./Dec. issue of
Hearth to Hearth]. It is wonderful to see
how God is blessing that project.

I will pray for Pastor and Edith as
they move to the new orphanage. It will
be so much better for the children to be
out in the country, away from the evils
of the town. I wish I were younger. I
could go over there and get a team and
a hay wagon and move them in nothing
flat. How I would love to be there to
help them. But what use would an old
woman like me be? So, I do what I can
do, pray!

We were in church last week and
one of the pastors at our church was
talking about a church we (our church)
helped build and fund in Somalia. It
was the first Christian church and now
there are two others in the works. He
was there last year and distributed
some of the boxes through Samaritan’s
Purse. He told us what a “wealthy” life
we all live. He explained that if the kids
received the boxes and they had candy
in them, that not only do they enjoy the
piece of candy that they haven’t had in
five or six months, but they play with the
wrapper for months.

Our Method:
Spotlight on Orphans is published monthly
and sent free upon request. Interested persons
outside USA are encouraged to subscribe via
email if possible. Voluntary donations are appre-
ciated.
Our Mission:
In acknowledgement of the bountiful bless-
ings that God has poured out on us, our mission
is to share those blessings, both material and
spiritual, with the orphaned children and widows
of this world. It is our purpose to take those
whom Satan would claim as his and rescue them
for the kingdom of God.
Though we are small in numbers, we serve a
big God, who has already worked miracles
through our efforts. This voluntary labor of love
has begun in east Africa. With God’s continuing
leadership, approval and blessings, it is our aim
for the work to spread to many other areas of Af-
rica and to other parts of the world.
